Plot Summary[]
Dr. Wells bid farewell to the team, but Joe and Caitlin refuse to let him leave, so Caitlin pursues him to persuade him to stay. At Belly Burger, Caitlin's mention of her group not closing the breaches gave Dr. Wells an idea to close all breaches except for S.T.A.R. Labs in order to set a trap for Zoom as Zoom only has one entrance.
Elsewhere, Grodd mind controls a lab technician to steal a drug serum before killing him. In S.T.A.R. Labs, Iris and Joe try to rehabilitate Barry who lost his speed. Then, Grodd kidnaps Caitlin to have her create more gorillas like Grodd.
Iris brings Harry Allen to check up on Barry, and both Harry and his son share about being destroyed. The sight of seeing Wells in Reverse Flash suit awoken Barry with anger enough to make Barry get his speed back. Cisco has Dr. Wells pretend to be the Reverse Flash to save Caitlin. Dr. Wells manages to trick Grodd and stabbing him with drugs to get him, Cisco, and Caitlin away.
During another brainstorm, Dr. Wells proposes they use a breach to send Grodd to a new home after Caitlin shares that Grodd is lonely and sad. The gang lure Grodd to a breach with the help of Caitlin. Afterwards, Cisco suggests they destroy the suit, but Barry tells him before he does it, tells him to replicate the microtechnology of storing the suit in a ring. Caitlin asks Dr. Wells where he sent Grodd. Grodd states he sent him to a rain forest in another universe that has lab test gorillas roam free. Cisco, Caitlin, and Dr. Wells reconcile their relationship by staying together.
At the West Residence, Joe remarks how Barry is like a son he never had after seeing Harry and Barry left. Over at CCPD, Patty reveals she knew Barry lied and to have trust in himself and others. Cisco visits Kendra who kissed him. Cisco has receives a vibe of seeing Kendra as a "Hawkgirl."
