Tyrion and the Lannisters fight for their lives as Stannis’ fleet assaults King’s Landing.
The soldiers of King's Landing get ready for battle as Ser Davos leads a Stannis' army by boat through the Blackwater Bay. When Stannis' men reach the bay, are confronted by a lone ship that is unmanned. They soon realize that the ship is filled with the substance called wildfire. One of the men on the castle wall ignites the the chemical, instantly destroying several ships. Stannis urges his men onward and they ram the gate with a battering ram. Meanwhile, Sansa are safe within Maegor's Holdfast. Word reaches to them that Stannis' men are at the gates. Shae convinces Sansa to run away while she can because the guard will kill them if Stannis takes the city. Sansa runs into her chambers and finds "The Hound," who is about to flee the city. He offers totake her with him. Sansa declines at first, but her answer is final unknown.
Cersei, upon hearing the news, tells Loras to take Joffrey from the battle. When Joffrey leaves the battle, moral drops. Tyrion steps up and rallies the remaining men. Together, they use the city underground tunnels to leave the city and flank Stannis' troops at the gate. They destroy the battering ram, but are horrified to find more of Stannis' troops. In the chaos, Ser Manson tries to kill Tyrion under Cersei's orders, but is killed by Tyrion's squire, Podrick Payne. Tyrion faints from the resulting slash. Then, just when hope is lost, they are saved by Tywin's troops who arrive at the nick of time. He heads to the throne room and announces that they won the battle. Cersei who is sitting on the throne rejoices that she does not have to kill her son with the night shade poison.
