Although In Space is regarded as the best season of the Power Rangers franchise, Ashley is often seen by fans as one of the weakest Yellow Rangers in the franchise and the weakest member of her team, particularly during In Space. It doesn't help that her actress Tracy Lynn Cruz previously dated other PR actor Johnny Yong Bosch and he revealed in an interview that after getting a part in Turbo, she dumped him and stole his money and car. Although this occurred over 2 decades ago, there are some fans who are still bitter towards Tracy and are taking their anger out on her character.
