Background[]
Daniel Craig ( b. 2 March 1968 ) is an English actor. He has appeared in live action stage theater, television and cinematic roles; and voice acting performances.
He began acting at a young age and transitioned into more adult roles where he became known for his muscular physique, rugged facial features, and deep smooth voice. However he was catapulted into international renown when he was chosen to succeed Pierce Brosnan as the titular role of James Bond in 2005 amid a storm of controversy.
Many fans of the 007: James Bond Franchise angrily felt Craig was severely miscast; unfavorably comparing him to the previous actors who portrayed the tall, darkly handsome secret agent. Craig instead went on to become of the most popular, successful, and also the longest serving actor in the role for a decade and a half.
In addition, he is also known for his appearances in Layer Cake; The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo; Knives Out; and Glass Onion.

Trivia[]
- Is long time friends with Mark Strong with the pair originally being roommates and Craig was named as the godfather to Strong's son, Roman. Ironically enough, years before Craig even assumed the famous role of James Bond; the future 007 foiled Strong's would-be villainy. Strong had been up for a role as a villain in a James Bond film (with Pierce Brosnan in the starring role) and Craig took out his friend to celebrate the forthcoming audition. Unfortunately, Strong overindulged in alcohol and was severely hungover during the audition the next day to the point where he couldn't even remember his lines.
Quotes[]
