The Spectacular Spider-Man or The Spectacular Spider-Man: Animated Series was a short-lived American produced action-adventure superhero animated TV series with Josh Keaton, Lacey Chabert, James Arnold Taylor, and Daran Norris contributing as the primary voice actors.
Although critically acclaimed during its series run, it was abruptly cancelled due to legal challenges involving the recent acquisition of the Marvel Comics' properties including the character of Spider-Man by Disney and Sony Pictures which had originally retained the production and distribution rights to the character by Marvel years earlier.
