Everyone in the extended McCallister family is planning for a great Christmas holiday overseas in Paris. Everyone that is except for Kevin, the youngest and the most put upon by his older siblings and cousins. The precocious Kevin would greatly prefer to be alone this holiday season. He gets his wish when in the rush and confusion to get to the airport on time, the family ... miscounts the number of children and accidentally leaves him behind.

But while his new found freedom is thrilling at first, Kevin soon begins to realize that he misses his family more than he thought. Meanwhile, his frantic family discovers that the high volume of international travelers prevent them to making it home for days.

With a pair of burglars, Harry and Marv lurking around to loot the neighboring houses, Kevin discovers that his house is next on the list and it's up to him to stop them! It's a battle of wits unlike anything you've ever seen!
