Overview[]

The planet Krull is invaded by an army of alien Slayers. This invasion force is led by a powerful and evil entity known only as the Beast. Neighboring kingdoms hope to thwart the assault with an alliance of their armies. Both Kings plan to cement this alliance with the marriage of their respective progeny - Prince Colwyn from one kingdom and Princess Lyssa from the other. But a strong contingent of Slayers prevents the marriage ceremony from being completed by killing everyone in attendance and kidnapping the princess. Prince Colwyn survives this attack and is determined to rescue her. He must travel far to reach the Black Fortress where she is held. Ynir the Old One tells him of a magical weapon, known as the Glaive, which can help him defeat the Beast and rescue Lyssa. Along the way he meets a clumsy magician, a band of rogues, a cyclops and an old mystic. They must overcome such foes as a giant spider, a shape changer and a vast army of Slayers before finally confronting the Beast.
