Kung Fu was a hugely popular and highly acclaimed American TV series in the 1970s which was a unique amalgamation of western drama, action adventure, and martial arts starring David Carradine. It further inspired a full length movie Kung Fu: The Movie in 1986 and a failed attempt to restart the franchise with Kung Fu: The Next Generation in 1987. Nevertheless, a spin-off sequel series, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues was launched in 1993 which once more starred David Carradine who portrayed the modern-day descendant of his own character who coincidentally also bore the same name, Kwai Chang Caine.
