Overview

The film is based on a true story about Augusto and Michaela Odone who struggled to find a cure for their son, Lorenzo who suffers from ALD (adrenoleukodystrophy). It's a sex linked disease, specifically caused by a X-linked recessive trait, where the body cannot digest long fatty acids. The accumulation of these long fatty acid chains cause destruction of myelin sheathes.
