Trivia

  • Among those actors who were proffered the role of the new James Bond for this movie included Timothy Dalton who rejected the role, feeling he was "too young". He would become the new James Bond in 1987, twenty-two years later.
  • The outspoken George Lazenby criticized several of his co-stars and the producers during the filming of this movie, even going so as to state that he personally believed that the secret agent fad was over. Despite having a contract in place for seven more movies from Eon Productions, Lazenby publicly resigned and even refunded his advance for the next picture proclaiming that he no longer wanted to do the part.
