In the present, Frankie Dunlevy is about to embark on his greatest milestone so far; becoming a parent. And as he struggles to get ready for this important task, he finds himself remembering his own trials and tribulations as a teenager growing up with his own father.
In 1991, Joanne Dunlevy has decided that after 18 years of raising her two children; she is ready to go back to college and gaining that long delayed law degree. Her husband, Dr. Jack Dunlevy has declared his firm intention to fully back her; cutting back his hours at the hospital in order to assume her role as primary caregiver to their two children.
But are their children, Frankie and Rachel ready for their father's tyrannical and comedically unorthodox parenting methods? In other words; are they ready for Jack?
