This is a community-run encyclopedia about film and TV. We currently have 93,486 articles, and we need YOU to help us! New movies and TV shows are always being made, so we need new articles for them! A lot of our existing articles also have missing content, such as plot summaries and episodes. Other ways you can help out include adding additional poster images or video trailers.

If you have any suggestions, or just want to talk about TV and film, you can also participate in our Discussions forum. Trivia
  • Did you know that in the horror movie Halloween (1978), Michael Myers is wearing a mask based on Captain Kirk from Star Trek? (It's true! The prop department painted the mask and modified the eye holes and hair; they decided the modified mask looked much creepier than their original clown mask design!)
  • Did you know that E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Poltergeist were based on the same original script? (It's true! Poltergeist's original script featured invading aliens with a killer touch, which Steven Spielberg reworked for a more family-friendly movie. Poltergeist was then modified to have a more supernatural feel than a sci-fi one.)
  • Did you know that R2-D2 and C-3PO make cameo appearances in Raiders of the Lost Ark? (It's true! As a joke, the prop department created a series of hieroglyphics which depict the two Star Wars droids.)
